Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal Masyarakat Merdeka (JMM) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published articles. All submitted manuscripts must be original and must properly acknowledge the ideas, data, and materials taken from other sources.

All manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening using plagiarism detection software. The maximum similarity index is 25%. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 25% may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected by the editorial team.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, all sources are properly cited and listed in the references, and any information or materials taken from other works are clearly acknowledged.

The similarity index is used as an initial screening tool and does not automatically determine whether plagiarism has occurred. The editorial team will carefully review the similarity report to identify possible plagiarism, improper paraphrasing, unattributed quotations, or other forms of academic misconduct.

JMM reserves the right to request revisions, reject manuscripts, or take other appropriate editorial action if plagiarism or violations of publication ethics are identified. All decisions will be made in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
